Announcement Concerning 2CW Heavyweight Title On Sunday, June 5th, 2011 at 2CW’s FUNK U current 2cw Champion “Slyck” Wagner Brown put his title on the line in a match against Terry Funk. While Terry Funk did pin Wagner Brown for a count of three, the count was made by Jay Freddie who is NOT a recognized 2CW Official. As you may have seen Terry Funk then passed the belt onto Jay Freddie as he could not defend it at his age. With that said 2CW does not recognize Terry Funk or Jay Freddie as 2CW Champion. “Slyck” Wagner Brown is indeed still the current, reigning, 2CW champion. Wagner will defend his title against Jay Freddie July 15th, 2011 at 2CW’s Big Event In Watertown. |

Are you shitting me? Slyck challenged, Terry pinned him, a 3 count was made. New champ. Regardless of who counted 3, the count was made. And if they won't recognize it, vacate the belt and put it up for grabs in that match. Thats more logical. Slyck lost, plain and simple. But hey, that's my opinion. |

I agree with Deal. Slyck LOST, plain and simple, is it questionable? Absolutley, but, then again so is the entire tag title reign of the Olsens. Vacate the title, giving neither man a championship advantage, and make sure there is a winner. Hopefully Freddie FINALLY brings the gold home, in his hometown, on the baseball diamond he no doubt frequented as a kid. |

Good, that is the only decision that makes any sense. It makes sense for the reasons mentioned and because Funk never agreed to the match, a bell never started or ended a match and the last time I checked, outide interference (from J. Freddie) would have gotten Funk disqualified anyway and Slyck would have retained the title by DQ. |

why is that a bad thing? bell never sounded and there wasn't an official (or Jay Freddie made the official).. was a nice moment, but I'm glad it wasn't official |

I think this was right decision and made the most sense. Nowadays, titles change hands way too frequently over the most ridiculous set of circumstances. Kudos to 2CW for its old school booking. Also, let's not forget, Ric Flair pretty much had a hall of fame career thanks in part to this kind of booking. |

I still say a match for a vacant title would have been a better idea...or, since this is The Big Event...perhaps a one night tournament for the 2CW Title. Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset that Freddie is getting a title shot in Watertown, just saying that perhaps there could have been other options. At any rate, Slyck vs Freddie in Watertown is gonna be off the hook, as should the entire show. I personally can't wait to be front row on the 15th. |

I said this should happen and people flipped out and now everyone, for the most part agrees with the decision? LOL SWB vs Freddie should be good. I think Freddie should win it. |

Hey man it's okay I'm with you on this one! I really love Slyk, and I think he makes a great champion (how long has he held it for now ?) but seeing Freddie get a shot would be great as he really is a home grown 2CW talent |
