Opening Contest: Brodie Lee defeated Isys Ephex to become the #1 Contender to the 2CW Heavyweight Championship: Decent match i thought. Seemed like a quick match but it worked for me. Second Contest: Colin Delaney defeated Loca Vida: Match seemed to drag on as perhaps 2CW was trying to fill up time since they only had seven matches on the card, i dont know though. Glad to see Delaney win the match. Third Contest: SWB defeated ZS3 in a submissions match: I hated the finish of the match. To make the throwing in the towel angle work, ZS3 needed to take a much bigger beating. I'm talking about SWB hitting him with a chair behind the referees back, causing ZS3 to bleed and then putting the cloverleaf as ZS3 is lifeless or something. The way it was presented last night was just horrible. I believe it was at this point that Up in Smoke came out and cut a promo saying they are the best tag team and they weren't going to leave the arena until they got tag title shot next month. They also insulted Necro Butcher.. which would eventually lead to.... Fourth Contest: Necro Butcher/Brodie Lee defeated Up In Smoke in a Hillbilly Rules match (Anything Goes): I thought for a brawl, it was fine. Necro was clearly popular with the crowd for what he did. Lee also looked pretty good and i was surprised that Up in Smoke were competing in that type of match. After the loss, Cheech turned on Cloudy! Intermission Fifth Contest: Kevin Graham defeated Big Pun and Steve Mckenzie: Okay, not much for me to talk about here. Wasn't really interested in it. Sixth Contest: Jason Axe defeated Jimmy Olsen to retain the 2CW Heavyweight Championship: Olsen kind of reminds of Mr. Anderson with TNA. As soon as he said "their can only be one asshole in 2CW" that is who i thought of. Not a bad match by any means but nothing overly great, either. Here is to hoping Axe loses to Lee, finally. Seventh Contest: Sabu defeated Spike Dudley in a hardcore match: It was great to see Sabu live for the first time ever and put on a good show with Spike. Their were a few botches, but you have to expect that with Sabu. But, at the end of the day i saw everything i wanted to out of Sabu. Main Event: J Freddie defeated Davey Richards: To say i was shocked to see J Freddie win is a understatement. The finish was just like the match Richards had with Eddie Edwards on HDNET awhile back where he kicked the ring post. I'm starting to think that will be the only way Richards jobs to people. Anyway, it was a very good contest and Freddie took a beating, as expected. People, including myself, were confused and pretty mad that Freddie won and Richards lost. But, after thinking about it and realizing that Richards is retiring in less than six months it made sense. Freddie has to be the go to guy for 2CW on putting on good matches. The only issue here is that he can't turn around and lose to a guy like Loca Vida or something. He needs to be able to build off this and become the top babyface for 2CW. Overall, the main event and both hardcore brawls were good enough for me and made it worth my 10 bucks. Motor City Machine Guns vs American Wolves on November 20th in Syracuse should be INSANE! Watertown card so far looks pretty good too. Lee vs Axe needs to be in a cage, in my opinion. Freddie/Danielson is sure going to be a good match considering Freddie's last match. American Wolves on the card is always a good thing. Cheech vs Ephex could be a sleeper match of the night candidate. Vida/Slyck is another interesting contest. I don't care about Roberts so i will use that match as my bathroom/food break. I think based on the few matches announced, i will be in Watertown! |

Overall a solid show from 2CW! It was cool to see Strangler Steve King again. I always marked out for him ever since the contract on the pole match at the first Utica show. Brodie Lee is disgustingly over, jesus christ. This guy needs a run with the belt. And he seemed pretty comfortable on the mic for the brief time he was on when he challenged Up In Smoke to the brawl. Him and Necro as the Redneck Wrecking Crew would be ten thousand kinds of awesome. Speaking of Necro Butcher, MARIJUANA CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP MARIJUANA!! That was fucking awesome. I thought the students match w/ Studly Steve was a little slept on. Crowd didn't seem to into but for a 10 minute or so match I thought it was very good. Big Pun has a ton of potential and Kevin had a great showing as well. Good to see the Studly one again, I still think him coming out with 2 ladies on his arm wearing a Best Ride in Town shirt would rule the universe. Colin and Loca put on a good back and forth contest. Jimmy Olson is awesome. That used car salesman leather jacket just seals the deal for me. Overall it was a good time. Looking forward to hopefully my first trip out to Watertown to see BRYAN DANIELSON!! |

Boba: Is it safe to say that overall you didn't think much of the card? You really only liked 2 of the matches? Cortland fan: No need to put a title on someone that is already over. I agree with almost everything else you said. Personally, I thought it was one of the best 2CW shows ever. |

No. I was entertained by at least 5. Lee/Ephex was entertaining for what it was. Olsen/Axe was a good enough title defense, that just seemed fairly quick. Necro/Lee vs Up in Smoke was a fun brawl, and so was Sabu/Spike. Freddie/Richards was a very good match. The only match i really did not like and thought it was a waste was the SWB/ZS3 match. The finish was just horrible. I would agree that outside of the shows like Living on the Edge or the double shot weekends, it is a top show that 2CW has held, for sure. |

As a first time 2CW attendee, I have to say, the atmosphere and emotion in the Pastime was incredible. This was my first local indy show, so I didn't have high expectations, but this show blew me away. I had a basic idea of who everyone was through personal experience, watching all five supersonics, and purchasing a DVD (2CWathon). Donned in an attention getting Lady GaGa T-Shirt, me and a friend went in and had the time of our lives. The opener, quick but solid, showcased one of our favorites, Brodie Lee. Colin (who is my personal favorite) and Loca was next, and though I admit it was long, did not seem to drag to me at any point and time. Feebly, I tried to start a "Let's go Colin" chant, but was too out of my element for it to go anywhere. Somehow, the Submission match didn't get to me quite as much, perhaps the whole submissions idea slowed it down, but it was still a decent match. The double dose of Brodie was a treat too, very fun match going through the crowd. Up In Smoke breaking off is a little sad, I must admit. Got myself a Colin Autograph during intermission, and got back to my seat in time for the next match. The non-hardcore triple threat was as expected, but still solid. The early Title match came as a surprise, but was also intense. Axe is my cousin in law (if there is such a thing), which I wasn't even aware of till close to the ring bell, but before that, I wanted Jimmy to win. The Hardcore match was also as expected, the ladder spot live was insane, and Sabu went over in a pretty good contest. The main event was great, J Freddie overcoming STIFF kicks and winning it all was amazing live, and even got to briefly talk to Freddie after the match, whom I congratulated. On my way out, Steve McKenzie complemented me on my hair, which, needless to say, was great. Enough about my experience, though, and let me get to my real point. I came into this show as a spectator, not fully a 2CW fan, but not totally neutral. And after this show, the action, the fan participation, the characters in the crowd, made this a very, very enjoyable experience, and has made me a full fledged 2CW fan. Plans of going to Watertown solidified, and we had planned on going even before winning the free tickets in the Magic Number drawing, which was cool too. In all, great show, fantastic, it won us both over, and we'll see you all in August. |

The only match that didn't really do anything for me was the title match. Maybe it's because I have yet to see Grand Prix or 2CW-Athon, but babyface Jimmy Olsen doesn't do anything for me. I was watching them try to kill each other and thinking to myself, this would have been great in July 2009. Obviously that couldn't have happened because Olsen was hurt. |

I had an amazing time last night the show was fantastic and the atmosphere in the athletic center was great. I can gladly say i'll be attending the August show and i'll be glad to see you all there. Thank you. Now continuing on how i felt during last nights show i loved it the main event truly drew me in. I've never been a huge fan of long matches or anything like that. But I wanted the main event to keep going i wanted to watch more but i was truly happy when Freddie won . But all of the other matches truly impressed me as well. I was really excited to see Brodie compete twice in one night it was a fun night to see some great talent go at it. And of course next month I have a lot to look forward to. Bryan, The tag title match, and Brodie, my personal favorite getting a title match. So i'm really looking forward to it. Thank you 2CW for putting on a great show. Isys enters to "Daylight" by Matt and Kim. Speaking of, I'm thinking of starting a thread to get a compilation of everyone's entrance themes (current/old themes, current/alumni wrestlers). If anyone else in interested in contributing, PM me on here. My thoughts on the show echo pretty much everyone. I said this to Pun in person, and I still feel this way, but personally, the three way with Graham, Pun, and Steve was the highlight of my night. I love watching the students matches, especially after getting to know Pun and Graham a bit. The title match could've been a couple minutes longer, but was still an epic encounter. I can buy Jimmy as a face, but I've been cheering for him since he came back no matter what because I just can't hate a guy with his abilities in the ring and on the stick. ZS3/SWB told a story, but much of the crowd seemed dead for it. I even heard a Sabu chant or two. The chants were somewhat disappointing for me, as I like the concept of *gasp* technical matches. The two brawls were fun to watch, and painful. When Necro busted out that pot scrubber and started scrubbing Cheech's face with it, I was cringing. Sabu/Spike was brutal. J. Freddie took one of the biggest beatings I've ever seen. Davey gave him everything, and Freddie kept going with it. I'm sure he's sore as hell today, but DAMN was that a good match! I give props to both men; Freddie for stepping up and being what we all know he can be, and Davey for being himself: which is amazing. All in all, one of the most fun shows I've ever been to. I've been to every show in the past calendar year, and a couple before that. I brought a friend who was into wrestling for a while, but stopped watching it, and now he is a true believer that 2CW IS pro wrestling. |
